Building Futures Through Sport and Education

At Hout Bay Leopards, we do more than train footballers — we shape confident, healthy, and inspired young people.

Our programmes are designed to meet the needs of children and youth in our community — whether it’s building football skills, staying active during holidays, or gaining academic support. Explore our core offerings below.
Leopards Soccer School

Year-round football training for youth aged 6–18, with a focus on skill, teamwork, and community.

School Sports Academic Initiative
The Hout Bay Leopards Soccer School Sports Academic Initiative is a dynamic development program combining structured football training with academic support and life skills coaching. Running throughout the school year and during holidays, sessions take place Monday to Thursday and include one hour of sports and one hour of academic support.

In partnership with local schools, we offer after-school football training combined with literacy, career guidance, and marine conservation awareness. The program builds confidence and keeps children engaged in positive activities.

Our outreach currently spans Hout Bay six schools:

 • Sentinel Primary School
 • Hout Bay Primary School
 • Oranje Kloof / Moravian Primary School
 • Nowers High School
 • Hout Bay High
 • Silikamva High School

The program empowers children to excel on and off the field by fostering personal growth, teamwork, and resilience. Built on the philosophy of Ubuntu, we believe that "a kid in sport is a kid out of court."

We also create community employment opportunities through coaching and support roles. Expansion plans include introducing netball, rugby, athletics, boxing, hiking, dancing, and music lessons to cater to broader interests and talents. The program builds confidence and keeps children engaged in positive activities.
